Artificial Intelligence

As experts in the application of Machine Learning and predictive analytics to the healthcare setting, we have demonstrated the tremendous impact these tools have. Our models have been able to suggest better surgical schedules based on predictions of trauma volumes at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Efficiency Optimization

Application of business tools borrowed from industrial engineering and operational management can dramatically improve efficiency. We have demonstrated the financial and operational benefits of both established (ie: Regional Anesthesia Block Rooms) and novel (ie: Bin Packing Surgical Scheduling) models of care.

Medical Devices

Often, medical devices are deemed expensive by procurement agents thus creating barriers to entry into our system. We have demonstrated that many devices are in fact operationally efficient and financially net positive for institutions.

Clinical Research

We also conduct purely clinically-oriented research in the fields of orthopaedic surgery, spine surgery, and medical education. This work spans retrospective and prospective cohort studies, systematic reviews, and multicentre collaborations aimed at generating evidence that directly informs surgical decision-making and training.
